Vodka and I parted ways two decades ago, after one too many screwdrivers on a late adolescent trip to New York City. But then a few weeks ago we had some friends over for dinner, and I discovered vodka anew.
Cocktails don’t get much easier than this: a shot glass full of chilled vodka, poured over ice, mixed with about twice as much high quality lemonade. Garnish with a few sprigs of fresh thyme.
(Does the thyme add to the flavor? Or does it just help to make your drink more Martha Stewart and less drunk-college-student? I’ll let you be the judge of that.)
